Restore purchases
On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling Chalkday, bring Chalkday Plus back:
- Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you subscribed with.
- In Chalkday, go to You and tap the gear at the top for Settings.
- Tap Restore purchases.
If it says there’s nothing to restore, that Apple ID has no active Chalkday Plus subscription.
Cancel Chalkday Plus
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Chalkday Plus, then Cancel Subscription.
You can also open your Apple subscriptions directly, or tap Chalkday Plus on the You tab. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Chalkday Plus stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel it.
Ask for a refund
Apple handles payments for the App Store, so refunds come from Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose Chalkday Plus.
Export your data
- In Chalkday, go to You > Settings.
- Under Your data, tap Export your data.
- Save the file to Files, or send it wherever you like.
You get a CSV file, which opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets. It lists the days you’ve logged in roughly the last 13 months, archived habits included, with three columns: date, habit and status. The status is kept, rest, missed, or twoMinute for the two-minute version. For a complete copy of everything we hold about you, email us.
Delete your account
- If you have Chalkday Plus, cancel it first. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it.
- In Chalkday, go to You > Settings.
- Under Your data, tap Delete account, then confirm.
Your account and everything in it are deleted from our servers straight away: habits, history, friends, shared streaks, circles you created, cheers and nudges. It can’t be undone, so export your data first if you want a copy.
If you signed in with Apple, Chalkday also removes itself from your Apple ID. If that can’t be done at the time, the app tells you how to do it yourself: open the Settings app, tap your name and go to Sign in with Apple, then choose Chalkday and tap Delete.
Can’t open the app? Email hello@chalkday.com from the address on your account, and we’ll delete it for you.
Block or report someone
- Open the Friends tab.
- Tap the more button next to the person, or press and hold them. In a circle, tap the person.
- Choose Remove friend, Block or Report.
- Remove friend ends your friendship, your shared streaks, and the cheers and nudges between you.
- Block does the same, and also stops them inviting, cheering or nudging you, and hides your habits from each other in any circle you’re both in. They aren’t told.
- Report opens an email to us with their name and Chalkday ID. Add what happened and send it. We look into every report.
Turn off nudges
Go to You > Settings > Reminders and turn off Nudges from friends. On the same screen, quiet hours keep everything from Chalkday silent overnight, nudges included. Each friend can nudge you once a day at most.
